Privacy Policy

Yafa ("Yafa," "we," "us") is an app for logging your daily outfits, turning your photos into interactive 3D looks, and sharing them with friends. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Yafa, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up with email or Sign in with Apple, we collect your email address and, if you choose, your name. You also create a username, display name, optional bio, and optional profile photo.
• Content you create. Photos you upload to generate outfits, the resulting outfit images, captions, tagged products, and any weather or location labels attached to a look.
• Social activity. Follows, likes, saves, comments, "vibes," and the blocks and reports you submit.
• Contacts (optional). If you use friend-matching, we create a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of phone numbers to find people you already know on Yafa. We do not store raw phone numbers from your contacts.
• Device & usage data. Push notification tokens, approximate location and weather (used only to tag your outfits), and basic in-app analytics and diagnostics that help us understand usage and fix problems.
• Purchases. If you buy generation credits, Apple processes the payment. We receive a transaction record to grant your credits — we never receive your card details.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service — logging outfits, generating 3D looks, and building your feed.
• To power social features and personalize what you see.
• To send notifications you've enabled.
• To keep Yafa safe — reviewing reports, enforcing our guidelines, and preventing abuse.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.

AI processing of your photos

To turn a photo into an outfit, we send the image to trusted third-party AI providers (currently Fal and OpenAI) for background removal and 3D generation. These providers process the image to return a result and operate under their own terms; we do not use your photos to train our own models.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run Yafa, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and media storage.
• Fal / OpenAI — AI image processing (see above).
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, in-app purchases, and weather data.
• Vercel / Render — website hosting and outfit-generation processing.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Yafa and its users.

Content that is public

Outfits you publish to the feed, your profile, your username, and your comments are visible to other users and may be viewable by anyone who opens a profile share link. Outfits you keep private are not shown to others.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated content at any time — contact us at the email below, and we will delete your account and the personal data we hold, except where we are required to retain certain records by law. Reports you've filed may be retained for safety and moderation purposes.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your content is restricted by per-user database security rules. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Yafa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Yafa.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You can also manage notifications, location, and contacts permissions in your device settings.

International users

Yafa is operated from, and your information is processed in, the United States. By using Yafa you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app where appropriate.
